Where Are The Chickens?

I saw on Facebook a post from a pastor in Africa. He showed a picture of a chicken house he has just finished building and said he was praying to God for some chickens. I read it again. He doesn’t have any chickens and he built a chicken house.

I was suddenly reminded of the man who built a boat before it ever rained. The Bible tells us when we come unto God, we must believe that He is. That He is the living God, The God who thinks thoughts of peace and not of evil towards us. He who proclaims He has come to give us life more abundantly, that it is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom. The God who has sworn by His own name to bless us. Sometimes we get confused concerning our religion and we need to come back to our relationship. Jesus said if you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you. That it is here our Father is glorified. That when we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our heart. Yes, God loves our worship but His plan and desire is a relationship with us where our answered prayers bring glory to him.

Today let us be reminded again of the words of Jesus, “And whatsoever you ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask any thing in My name I will do it.”
